Understand EXIF information
Images from modern digital cameras have additional information embedded in the JPG file.
Recording properties like date and time, shutter speed, aperture, exposure, orientation.
Date/time and orientation are of most interest.
Date/time is used to rename image files, e.g., DSC01624.JPG 200502151815241624.jpg.
Orientation is used to get the picture upside right.
