Installation

There are several ways to install software.

Some installers install ready-to-use binary images:

• Windows installer
• RPM (RedHat, Fedora, SuSE)
• deb (Debian, Ubuntu)
• PPM (ActiveState)
• Appstores (Mac, iOS, Android)

Other installers build from source:

• Raw source (tar.gz, zip)
• CPAN / CPANM
