rpmlevel - Monitor installed RPM packages |

DescriptionWhat does it do? As the name implies, this program is only relevant for systems that use the popular RPM tool for package management. When installed, an hourly cron job will check all installed packages against a database and report any changes: installs, removals, upgrades, and downgrades. Several databases are included, see /usr/share/rpmlevel. When the cron job runs for the first time, it will try to find the right database for your system. If no suitable database is available, you can prepare one for your system. Rpmlevel was written by D. Emilio Grimaldo Tuņon. I merely took over maintenance from him. Note that the TAR distribution does not contain the most recent databases. The RPM distribution is up to date with Fedora 8.
